West Green House Gardens

West Green House Gardens offers four seasons of beauty, contrast and inspiration. Created by acclaimed garden designer and writer, Marylyn Abbott and situated in picturesque North Hampshire, it is one of England’s finest manor house gardens, marrying traditional style with contemporary design. It is also home to the West Green House Opera Season which this year takes place between July 23rd and 31st. A night at the opera!

Opera CollageOur famous West Green House Opera Season opens on Saturday July 22nd and runs until Sunday July 30th.

A garden romantically lit at night and the finest music, with a programme to suit all tastes. What could be finer for entertainment on a summer’s evening?

The Season includes:

Saturday July 22nd: Un ballo in maschera – Verdi – 7pm – Green Theatre

Sunday July 23rd: Midday Music – 12 noon – Lakefield Pavilion; Un ballo in maschera – Verdi – 7pm – Green Theatre

Wednesday July 26th: Rita – Donizetti – 7.30pm – Lakefield Pavilion

Thursday July 27th: Music and Monarchy – David Starkey – 12 noon – Lakefield Pavilion

Friday July 28th: Celebrating Gershwin – 7.30pm – Green Theatre

Saturday July 29th: Rita – Donizetti – 1.30pm – Lakefield Pavilion; Il Seraglio – 6.30pm – Green Theatre

Sunday July 30th: Midday Music – 12 noon – Lakefield Pavilion; Il Seraglio – 6.30pm – Green Theatre

All performances take place under cover. Ticket prices range from £20 – £145

Note: West Green House is operated as a private property, and is leased from the National Trust. The House is not open to the public.

Picnics are only permitted outside the main entrance gate, either in the Old Orchard which is adjacent to the Greenhouses or in the car park. Please ensure you take all your litter home with you.
