Catering Assistants

Salary : 18- 22k per annum

Hours: 4/5 days per week, including some weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

• Food preperation
• Washing up
• Counter service
• Assiting with functions at West Green House.

Qualifications and experience:

• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a busy environment
• Hospitality, catering experience would be beneficial but full training will be offered.

Volunteer Gardener 

Salary : Volunteer

Join our team of volunteer gardeners who work alongside our full time team and Marylyn Abbot, designer and owner of West Green House.

Volunteering is an excellent way to get involved and to find out more about West Green House Gardens. And of course gardening offers an excellent form of exercise and opportunity for a good workout. Or you might simply want to switch off from the stresses and strains of the day and enjoy some quiet time in beautiful surroundings.

As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced team of gardeners and you will be sure to learn a great deal. Don’t worry if your gardening experience is minimal as there are always plenty of simple jobs to be done and someone to show you what to do or ask for advice.

You could be involved in planting, pruning, weeding and dead heading. You could be working in the greenhouse, in the potager, around the Lakefield or in the Walled Garden. We will do our best to allocate you tasks that reflect your interests and if you want give you a good work out. Above all we want you to enjoy helping us here in the gardens and to benefit from all that gardening can offer you.
