Opening Times

From March 12 to November 2, 2025.
Wednesday to Sunday 11am to 4.30pm.
We are open Bank Holidays 11am to 4.30pm.

There is no need to pre-book garden visits, tickets are available on the door.

The gardens open for Christmas and the Illuminated Garden Adventure from November 26 to December 30. Please pre-book for these events.

Memberships

National Trust, Royal Horticultural Society and West Green House Friends members are admitted without charge on presentation of their current membership cards.
Entry to special events is not included with these memberships.

Gardeners World 2 for 1 entry

Please bring the card with you to use this offer. The card is not valid for special events.

Car Park

The car park is charged at £4 and is payable upon arrival with the purchase of your garden entry. Free parking is included in the West Green House Friend Club Membership and we have three Disabled parking bays for Blue Badge Holders on a first come basis.

Group Visits

West Green House welcomes group visits and private parties by appointment.

We have various packages available for groups to accommodate different needs and interests. We aim to meet and greet all groups and give a warm welcome to the Gardens. You may wish to prebook and include an introductory talk in your package by a member of the garden team.

Our Group booking form and Group Packages Information give details of all tour options. Admission is free for tour leaders and coach drivers. We also invite drivers to enjoy a free cup of tea in our Tea Room.

However we are always happy to discuss specific requirements and tailor a package just for your group.

Picnics

You are welcome to picnic in the Old Orchard adjacent to the Greenhouses but picnics are not permitted in the formal gardens except during the Opera Season when separate arrangements apply. Please visit the opera website for details on this.

Dogs

Dogs are not permitted in the formal garden, except for accredited Assistance Dogs.

Accessibility

All paths are gravel with some limited access in the walled garden for wheelchairs. Please bring your own wheelchairs as we do not have any on site.

Cancellation Policy

Garden and Event tickets are not refundable.

West Green House

The beautiful Georgian manor house at the centre of West Green Gardens is the private home of the owner and therefore not all of it is open to the general public.
